[Arma 2] Warmod Pack

Post  Best Sakuya NA on Fri Jan 17, 2014 1:09 am

Warmod, developed by some really cool people, is designed to compile a ton of handy Arma 2 mods into one cohesive and easy to use format.  I've simplified the process, and have customized it a bit, and set up a download here:
https://mega.co.nz/#!IBElySAT!V0Ertg0nQCEiiOv2OBKbrz3HbIAbAjtrS0Mal1GuFAM

In it are 3 separate folders:

  • @COWarModBase
This is the base Warmod folder.  You will be using this to activate most of the mods.  They include everything from interface enhancements to soundmods.

  • @COWarModAIMOVE
This is the folder for AI and movement modifications.  You will be using this with the BASE folder to complete the general pack, but the BASE can technically be used without it.

  • @COWarModACE
This is the folder for ACE compatibility.  You will only use this if we are running ACE, and otherwise will leave it off.

It is very easy to get all of these mods to run using the Arma 2 Game Launcher, located here:
http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241

In addition, for compatibility, you will need to download CBA and CBA_CO and run them, both of which are fairly small.  To use these mods, simply place the @{foldername} folders in your Arma 2 or Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory, often located in program files -> steam stuff.  They should then show up in the Launcher after a refresh, or after restarting the Launcher.

CBA:

CBA_CO:

Finally. Two last things for compatibility and bugfixing that we ran into in testing.

This is @COSLX. The mod is calling for some commented out .hpp files, I don't know why, but putting this in your Arma 2 or Operation Arrowhead folder fixes it. Yay.

Put these files in your Arma 2/userconfig folder, and Arma 2 operation arrowhead/userconfig folder. This sets up your profile to use a lot of the mods correctly. Yay.

That should be it.

Also, if you want to see where this all originates from, the Warmod Website is here, however, we're using a customized version of the mods, so I would recommend just using the downloads in this post instead, otherwise you probably won't be able to connect to the server properly.

Enjoy.
