Quick Note on the MX Series

Post  Best Sakuya NA on Fri Sep 19, 2014 12:26 am

Through recent testing with our mods, in particular in close quarters engagements, it seems the MX series jams far more frequently than the M4/M16 series. Rifle jams can be deadly in almost any context, but are particularly threatening in MOUT when clearing dense urban environments at engagement ranges of less than 200 meters, where the time needed to clear a jam may not be available. The reliability of the rifle series is greatly improved by switching away from full-auto and switching to semi-auto fire rates. As such, my strong recommendation for improved MX performance is to stick with semi-auto fire rates when possible, and only use full-auto when absolutely necessary. This applies primarily to close quarters combat, but is relevant at all ranges.

If anyone has any data on the MX series' reliability, feel free to bring that data forward, I am only one man with very limited time on my hands. Again, I personally recommend sticking to semi-auto in all situations that you can manage with the MX series.
